Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the presence or absence of abnormality of a sensor without giving sense of incongruity to an occupant in a vehicle. SOLUTION: In an automatic opening/closing system of an opening/closing body for vehicle, a driving force transmission mechanism for transmitting driving force of an auto slide motor 11 to a slide door 1 is provided with an elastically deformable part being elastically deformed to absorb the driving force of the auto slide motor 11, and an ECU determines whether the rotary sensor causes abnormality while the slide door 1 stands still or not based on outputs of the rotary sensor when the auto slide motor 11 is temporarily driven and its driving force is absorbed by the elastically deformable part of the driving force transmission mechanism.
