PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 4-aminobenzylidene malonamide compound having high water solubility and excellent absorbability in the ultraviolet-ray wavelength region. SOLUTION: The 4-aminobenzylidene malonamide compound represented by general formula (1) or its salt is provided. In the general formula (1), R1, R2are each independently H, an alkyl group, or an acyl group; NR1R2can form a five- or six-membered heterocyclic group; R3, R4are each independently ä(CH2)m-O}n-R5; R5is H, an alkyl group; Rxis an alkyl group, hydroxy group, an alkoxy group; (l) is an integer of 0 to 4; (m) is an integer of 2 to 4; (n) is an integer of 1 to 5.
