Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-use printer that can prevent occurrence of a conveyance error due to the disagreement of a size of a recording medium, does not stop a printing operation while leaving a recording medium in the printer and does not cause a user to operate a troublesome work for removing a recording medium left in the printer. SOLUTION: This printer 1 comprises a memory 104 for storing image information and a length of a recording medium instructed by a host computer 101, a printing means for printing an image on a recording medium, a size detecting means 103a for detecting a length of a recording medium fed in accordance with instruction, and a post-processing control means 103b for comparing the stored length of the recording medium with the length of the recording medium detected by the size detecting means 103a.
