INPUTTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inputting device used for operation of various types of electronic equipment mainly in an automobile, in which error operations hardly occur and operation is easy. SOLUTION: The inputting device has a display plate 11 having a plurality of display parts 12 and 13 and an electrostatic touch panel 14 mounted on an operating body 19, and a control means 24 controls emitting light of a light-emitting element 23 corresponding to contact operation of the electrostatic touch panel 14. Accordingly, for example, in such a state that a finger touches the display plate 11, all of the plurality of display parts 12 showing the operation function are illuminated and by movement of the finger, the illuminating positions of the display part 13 are changed, and the operation function can be distinguished clearly, thereby the error operations hardly occur and operation is easy.
