SOLUTION: This memory system 1 includes a plurality of data blocks and a management block for storing the management information of the plurality of data blocks, and each block as the unit of data erasure includes a nonvolatile memory 11 configured of a plurality of pages; and a controller 12 for confirming any influence on a nonvolatile memory 11 due to power supply interruption when it starts, and for, when confirming that there is any influence due to power supply interruption, writing management information in the page where there is no influence due to the power supply interruption in the management block.
