IMAGE DISPLAY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display system which includes an overdrive processing circuit in an image display device and can reduce a memory cost as a whole of the system. SOLUTION: The image display system includes an image generation device 3 which generates image data, and an image display device 1 which performs overdrive processing based on the image data received from the image generation device 3, and displays an image. The image generation device 3 includes a rendering circuit 5 which generates the image data to be output to the image display device 1 for every frame, a memory unit 4 which holds the plural pieces of image data corresponding to at least two frames among the plural pieces of image data generated by the rendering circuit 5, and a transfer circuit 6 which transfers the plural pieces of image data corresponding to two frames among the plural pieces of the image data held by the memory unit 4 to the image display device within one frame period. The image display device 1 receives the plural pieces of the image data corresponding to the two frames from the transfer circuit 6 and performs the overdrive processing based on the received image data.
