Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reutilize a disposed cellulose acylate film as a raw material for activated carbon. SOLUTION: An activated carbon manufacturing apparatus 60 is equipped with a carbonizer 62 and an activation device 69. The carbonizer 62 has a heating furnace 71 and the activation device 69 has a rotary kiln 91 and a gas supply source 92. In a carbonization step, a first step to separately supply chips 63 to be carbonized into the heating furnace 71 in several times and a second step to carbonize the supplied chips 63 are performed repeatedly. A next supply quantity is decided so that a carbonized material 31 produced in the last second step is taken in a next supply molten material. The carbonized material 31 is charged into the rotary kiln 91 after pulverizing, is activated while being stirred by the rotation of a blade 56 and accordingly comes to the activated carbon 22.
