Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by performing an appropriate scroll process according to the situation of a game in a game apparatus using a coordinate input means. SOLUTION: While no moving command is input by a player through a touch panel, a game image displayed on a display screen is scrolled on condition that a position indicated by input coordinates from the touch panel is included in a first peripheral area along the outer edge of the display screen. While the moving command is input by a player through the touch panel, the game image displayed on the display screen is scrolled on condition that the position indicated by the input coordinates from the touch panel is included in a second peripheral area larger than the first peripheral area along the outer edge of the display screen.
