BODY MOVEMENT DETECTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body movement detecting apparatus capable of comprehensively and accurately calculating energy consumed by a user including energy consumption by exercise other than walking exercise by discriminating the walking exercise from exercise other than the walking exercise and individually calculating the energy consumption in accordance with a form of exercise. SOLUTION: The body movement detecting apparatus includes: a body movement data acquisition means for acquiring body movement information related to a body movement of the user; a body movement discriminating means for discriminating whether the body movement is walking exercise or exercise other than the walking exercise on the basis of the body movement information; and a computing means which calculates energy consumption during the walking exercise on the basis of the body movement information of the body movement discriminated by the body movement discriminating means as the walking exercise of the body movement information, calculates the energy consumption at the time of exercise other than the walking exercise on the basis of the body movement information of the body movement discriminated as the exercise other than the walking exercise, and calculates the energy consumption by the body movement of the user by adding these energy consumption.
