Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a commutator, a method of manufacturing an armature and an apparatus for manufacturing the commutator, capable of improving production efficiency. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a commutator includes a cutting step of performing a coarse cutting step and a finishing cutting step of an outer peripheral surface of a commutator raw material 56 by mutually moving a cutting tool 16 to the commutator raw material 56 in a circumferential direction of the commutator raw material 56 and relatively moving the cutting tool from one side (Z1 side) in an axial direction of the commutator raw material 56 to the other side (Z2 side) thereof. The cutting tool 16 integrally includes a cutting bite 36 for coarse cutting and a cutting bite 38 for finishing. Thus, it is possible to reduce a cutting frequency as compared to a case where the coarse cutting step and the finishing cutting step are performed separately, thus improving production efficiency.
