Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic lens having an antireflection layer in which heat resistance is improved without using an organic layer and to provide a method of manufacturing the plastic lens. SOLUTION: The plastic lens has the multilayer antireflection layer directly on the surface of a plastic lens base material or via other layer. The multilayer antireflection layer includes a compound layer having at least two adjacent metal oxide layers which have a same metal element and different oxide concentration. The method of manufacturing the above described plastic lens is provided. The respective metal oxide layers composing the compound layer are formed by using one and the same evaporation source, and the adjacent layers are formed under conditions having different reactive gaseous oxide partial pressures.
