Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint capable of bearing temperature variations without any seizure or lubrication failure even under a high temperature, a high load or a high velocity revolution. SOLUTION: The constant velocity universal joint is provided with an outer side joint member having a plurality of track grooves 22 formed on the inner peripheral face 21, an inner side joint member having a plurality of track grooves 25 formed on the outer peripheral face 24, plurality of balls 27 installed between the track grooves 22 of the outer side joint member and the track grooves 25 of the inner side joint member and a cage 28 having a pocket 29 to accommodate balls 27 and interposed between the outer side joint member and the inner side joint member. Steel balls are used as the balls 27, and the steel used is an alloy steel containing 0.6-1.3 wt.% of C, 0.3-3.0 wt.% of Si, 0.1-3.0 wt.% of Ni, 0.2-1.5 wt.% of Mn, and 0.3-5.0 wt.% of Cr.
