HOUSING FOR COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high-strength ductile cast iron having so-called strength such as high tensile strength and a high bearing force with respect to heat resistance and pressure resistance and having resistance to water embrittlement, capable of being formed in a complicated shape of a compressor housing that cannot be formed of an aluminum material inferior in heat resistance and pressure resistance or high-strength steel having water embrittlement properties. SOLUTION: At least a part of members of the compressor housing 1 is formed of the high-strength ductile cast iron. Reduction in the tensile strength and elongation of the high-strength ductile cast iron when it is wet with water are suppressed to be 10% or lower compared with reduction at drying.
