CONTACT TRAY FOR MATERIAL MOVING TOWER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact tray, for a material moving tower with a valvular cover which is of a comparatively simpler construction and can be easily installed. SOLUTION: This contact tray 11 for a material moving tower comprises a tray deck 14 which is for receiving the flow 13 of a fluid and has a plurality of orifices 15 for an ascending vapor to pass through and a plurality of valvular covers 16 which are arranged movably inside the orifices 15. The orifice 15 has a rectangular center part 17 and a rectangular end part 18 with a narrow width extending to both sides from the center part 17. The valvular cover 16 has a center part 19 arranged on the center part 17 apart from the tray deck 14, an inclined part 20 extending to both sides of the center part 19 and a tab 21 extending further to under the tray 11 from the inclined part 20. The valvular cover 16 is positioned in such a way that its inclined part 20 is astride on the deck 14 and the tab 21 engages with the lower side of the deck 14. Therefore, it is possible to easily prevent the valvular cover 16 from falling off or being heaved, and besides, to install it either from above or under the deck 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
