SOLUTION: In the light-emitting device provided with a light-emitting element having a pair of electrodes consisting of a reflection side electrode 105 and a light-extraction side electrode 108, and a light-emitting layer formed between the pair of electrodes, and a moisture-proof layer 110 formed at a light-extraction side of the light-emitting element, the moisture-proof layer 110 is equipped with a retardation member having a birefringent property and a linear polarizing member 111 at a light-extraction side of the moisture-proof layer.
