SOLUTION: The ultraviolet absorber is represented by formula (1), wherein UVA is an ultraviolet-absorbing residue; L is a divalent linking group; A is a group represented by formula (A) (wherein Z is a nonmetallic atom group forming a ring; Ra and Rb are each independently a monovalent substituent; Rc, Rd and Re are each independently H or a monovalent substituent; and X is -O-, -S-, -COO- or the like); and n and m are integers of 0-5 and 1-5, respectively.
