INKJET PRINTER, PROGRAM OF CLEANING METHOD OF PRINTING HEAD, AND CLEANING METHOD OF PRINTING HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer which can attain an improvement of cleaning performance at the time of performing wet wiping, and moreover can recover a meniscus of a nozzle. SOLUTION: In the inkjet printer, a nozzle plate 23 of a printing head 21 is wiped at its surface by a wiping blade 42 of a wet wiping unit 41. After wet wiping is carried out to prevent ink droplets etc. from remaining, the printing head 21 is moved to a home position. A negative pressure is applied into a cap space 31b by a suction pump 35 for only a short time, whereby a mixed liquid of a cleaning liquid and the ink pressed in the nozzle 22 by wet wiping and the air are sucked into the cap space 31b. Thereafter, the ink etc. in the cap space 31b is idly sucked by the suction pump 35 and discarded.
