Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory device, a memory management method, and a program which can improve efficiency and usage rate of rewrite, and restore to a normal storage state even in write or erasure during system down such as power failure. SOLUTION: A CPU 13 performs logical-physical translation in translation units (TU) each being an integer fraction of a size of the block and an integer multiple of a page size, and manages access to an NAND flash memory 11, and copies only all physical TUs in use among the contents of the block to a block including physical TU in no-use, and erases the original block. Thus, it is possible to achieve operation control to newly increase the physical TU in no-use only by the number of the invalid physical TU included in the original block. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
