Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise by increasing cooling effects even when an image display device has a larger screen, higher brightness, higher definition, and is made thinner. SOLUTION: The image display device which has a flat display panel 1, a display-surface-side cover 2 installed on a display-surface side of the display panel, a non-display-surface-side cover 3 installed on a non-display-surface side, and a display drive substrate 7 includes an opening 4 provided at one of the sides of the display-surface-side cover 2, a cavity portion 12 linked to the opening 4, and a vibrator 9 provided at the cavity portion 12, and generates a vortex ring along the display surface of the display panel 1 by vibrating the vibrator 9.
