AUTOMATIC DETECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF DEGRADATION OF TURBINE INTERNAL COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring and control device for an automated computer-implemented type steam turbine engine. SOLUTION: The monitoring and control device monitors and continuously analyzes turbine system 100 operational parameters to identify degradation of turbine internal components. Current operational data 300 detects change generated for a long operation period 305. Based on a comparison of the monitored turbine system operational parameters 310 or on the amount or rate of detected change 375, degradation of internal components and damage or degradation of the turbine internal components are determined 320. A report or warning notification is generated 330 and maintenance planning and/or appropriate damage mitigation procedures are implemented. The Internet or other communications network are used to enable interaction with the monitoring system and access to information via a local on-site control console or via a web browser application interface over the Internet or other communications network.
