Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent local boiling and thereby prevent crack generation in a tube by uniformly supplying cooling water inside a shell regardless of the position of a cooling water inlet port and a cooling water outlet port in an EGR cooler. SOLUTION: The EGR cooler 100 includes a hollow shell 110 having a cooling water inlet port 150 and a cooling water outlet port 160, and a plurality of tubes 140 disposed inside the shell 110 for passage of an EGR gas. The shell 110 includes a top face 113 and a side face 115. The cooling water inlet port 150 has a top face side inlet part 151 for introducing the cooling water from the top face 113 side, and a side face side introduction port 152 for introducing the cooling water from the side face 115 side.
