Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium alloy article having excellent joining force between a resin and a magnesium alloy by using an alkoxy silane-containing triazine thiol, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The magnesium alloy article includes a substrate composed of magnesium or magnesium alloy and a resin for joining via a dewatered silanol-containing triazine thiol derivative coating in at least a portion on the surface of the substrate, wherein a chemical conversion film containing at least one selected from the group consisting of hydroxide, carboxylate, phosphate, silicate, carbonate, sulfate, thiosulfate, nitrate, nitrite, permanganate, amino compound, and metal acetylacetonate, is contained between the substrate and the dewatered silanol-containing triazine thiol derivative coating.
