THERMOSENSIBLE RECORDING MEDIUM AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensible recording medium and its manufacturing method having a high degree of luster and high density in recording, excellent in the recorded picture quality, and free of generation of cracks at the recorded surface. SOLUTION: The thermosensible recording medium is structured so that an intermediate layer containing resin as major component, a barrier layer containing aqueous resin provided according to necessity, a thermosensible recording layer containing an electron giving compound and an electron receiving compound, and one or more protection layers containing aqueous resin are formed on one surface of a support in this order, wherein the protection layer at least adjoining to the thermosensible recording layer contains polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of polymerization of 200-600, while the protection layer as the outermost has a surface transcribed onto the support from the base material having a flat surface.
