Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating waste which can prevent the rise of a base differential pressure of a filter of a dust collector as soon as possible, continuously feed a thermal cracking gas and continuously feed stable energy, and to provide its operating method. SOLUTION: In the operating method of the apparatus for treating waste which generates the thermal cracking gas from waste, introduces the generated thermal cracking gas to the dust collector equipped with filtering bodies to eliminate dust or the like in the thermal cracking gas and burns the thermal cracking gas, the filtering body is regenerated by feeding a gas for regeneration for gasifying, burning or peeling deposited materials stuck to at least one of a plurality of filtering bodies equipped to the dust collector, and dust collection is performed by feeding the thermal cracking gas to the other filtering bodies.
