VIDEO RECORDING SYSTEM AND RECEIVING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record all of video and sound signals at the point of time of receiving a recording instruction from a user in a video recorder, in a video recording system in which a receiver of a TV, or the like, and the video recorder are connected. SOLUTION: A TV 10 is connected to the video recorder 40 via an IEEE1394 cable 32. The TV 10 is provided with a CPU 25 for starting the video recorder 40, when a recording instruction to the video and sound signals received by the TV 10 are detected, and a memory 30 for a buffer for storing the video and sound signals on detecting the recording instruction. The CPU 25 transfers the video and sound signals stored in the memory 30 for a buffer to the video recorder 40 via the IEEE1394 cable 32, when detecting the completion of starting the video recorder 40.
