SOLUTION: The plane light source 1 is composed of a light source 2 and a light guide body 3 which has a front surface plate portion 4 and a rear surface plate portion 5 arranged almost in parallel with each other with a gap holding portion 6 in-between and which is composed of a transparent or a semi-transparent material.
