SOLUTION: The curable composition, useful as a binder, comprises: polymer particles of at least one emulsion (co)polymer comprising greater than 10% by weight of one or more monomers comprising carboxylic acid groups, anhydride groups or salts thereof; at least one polyol; and a water-soluble polyacid or salt thereof.
