DETERGENT COMPOSITION AND CLEANING METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition free from a component causing problems in the environment, having excellent detergency, and hardly affecting the surface of a processed material subjected to plastic working. SOLUTION: The detergent composition is used for cleaning and removing a lubricant attached to the processed material after being subjected to the plastic working by using the lubricant comprising 0.1-98 mass% of a wax having 45-110°C melting point expressed in terms of the weight of solid components, and the remainder composed of at least one of a soluble aqueous resin and a surfactant. The detergent composition comprises an inorganic salt, a chelating agent, a surfactant and water. The pH of the composition is within the range of 8-12. The inorganic salt preferably comprises one or more selected from an alkali metal hydroxide, an alkali metal silicate, an alkali metal phosphate, an alkali metal hydrogen phosphate, an alkali metal polyphosphate, an alkali metal carbonate and an alkali metal hydrogen carbonate.
