Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a substance for preparing an optically active compound of a cyclic amino compound such as (3S,4S)-(1-aminomethyl-3,4-dimethyl-cyclopentyl)-acetic acid, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or a corresponding enantiomer of the compound or of the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. SOLUTION: The method comprises a step for reducing a cyano portion of a corresponding cyano compound, for example, 2-((3S,4S)-1-cyano-3,4-dimethylcyclopentyl)acetic acid or a corresponding enantiomer thereof, or a salt of the compound or a corresponding enantiomer thereof, into an amino portion.
