Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cetylpyridinium chloride-containing toothpaste composition good in the texture of the dentifrice dispersion in the oral cavity, high in teeth-cleaning power, and high in storage stability with no occurrence of liquid segregation with time, and to provide a method for suppressing the liquid segregation of this toothpaste composition. SOLUTION: The toothpaste composition is characterized by being obtained by compounding a cetylpyridinium chloride-containing toothpaste composition with (A) carrageenan, (B) a straight-chain water-soluble polyphosphate salt of general formula (1): Mn+2PnO3n+1(wherein, M is Na or K; and n is 2 or 3) and (C) shellac with the mass ratio of the components B to the component C being 0.5-10.
