SOLUTION: A strontium manganese formulation, as an alkaline earth-manganese oxide pigment, shows advantageous characters and is represented by general formula: SrMnO3-z(wherein the value of z is 0-0.5). In forming strontium manganese, various methods for prompting the bonding with oxygen are described. These methods apply the use of an oxidant, a shallow layer depth, and/or an oxidative atmosphere.
