OCCUPANT PROTECTION DEVICE OF VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection device of a vehicle capable of disposing a lap-belt pre-tensioner in such a manner that the pre-tensioner does not project into an ingress/egress opening in a slide door vehicle. SOLUTION: The vehicle 2 includes: a side sill 44 extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle; an upper ingress/egress opening 10 of the side sill 44; a seat 4 near the ingress/egress opening 10; a slide door 24 for opening and closing the ingress/egress opening 10; a projecting portion 52 which is formed at the slide sill 44 so as to project to the inside of a car interior, and accommodates a rail 30 for guiding the slide door 24; and a three-point seat belt device 79 including a shoulder belt 82, a lap belt 84, and a lower support member 102 for supporting the outer end of the car interior of the lap belt 84. In the vehicle 2, the lap-belt pre-tensioner 92 is disposed on the upper surface of the projecting portion 52 so as to extend from an disposition portion of the lower support member 102 to the rear of the vehicle, and a groove 54 is formed on the upper surface of the projecting portion 52 so that the pre-tensioner 92 does not project to the ingress/egress opening 10.
