THERMAL HEAD, MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR THERMAL HEAD, AND THERMAL PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head which can record an image of a relatively high image quality at a relatively high speed. SOLUTION: The thermal head is equipped with a substrate with a convex part 28 which projects from one principal plane, a heating resistor layer formed to a surface of the convex part 28, and a first electrode 24 and a second electrode 25 electrically connected to the heating resistance layer. The convex part 28 is constituted including a heat transfer layer 21 projected from the principal plane of the substrate 20, and a thermal storage layer 22 which covers the surface of the heat transfer layer 21. The projecting end 21A of the heat transfer layer 21 is nearer to the projecting top 28A of the convex part 28 as compared with at least one of the first electrode 24 and the second electrode 25.
