METHOD OF MANUFACTURING BATTERY AND BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a battery, which can decrease the thickness variation of a sheet for an electrode, and to provide the battery. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the battery composing an electrode assembly by forming a sheet electrode having a coated portion 11b coated with an active material and a non-coated portion 11c coated with no active material on one side of electrode foil 11a, interposing a separator between a positive sheet electrode and a negative sheet electrode, and connecting a positive current collector and a negative current collector to the non-coated portion 11c exposed at the end part of the electrode assembly includes: a step of forming an undulation 61 in the length direction of an electrode sheet 31B coated with the active material; and a step of roll-pressing the electrode sheet 31B in which the undulation 61 is formed.
