Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overuse of a reset mechanism by resetting a state with the reset mechanism. SOLUTION: A hard disk drive 400 stores a variety of data relating to a device, and includes a first partition 402 and second partition 404. The data stored in the first partition 402 is cleared when reset operation of a system is performed. The data stored in the second partition 404 is not cleared even when the reset operation of the system is performed. The first partition 402 stores the stored application data and device configuration information. The second partition 404 stores a console application data 416 for executing user interface to the device, and the second partition 404 further stores a reset application 420 for executing the reset operation of the system.
