Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin preparation for external use having ultraviolet (UV) light absorption in a UV-A region, excellent in compatibility with an oil component which is a base agent for the skin preparation for external use and improved in persistency of UV light-control effect with preventing coloration of 2-ethylhexyl p-methoxycinnamate by blending a benzotriazole derivative having a specific structure with the skin preparation for external use added with 2-ethylhexyl p-methoxycinnamate. SOLUTION: A method for improving persistency of UV light control effect of the skin preparation for external use by blending 2-[4-(2-ethylhexyloxy)-2-hydroxyphenyl]-2H-benzotriazole with the skin preparation for external use containing 2-ethylhexyl p-methoxycinnamate is provided.
