Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control transmitter that enables easy control of electrical equipment, by setting the correspondence relation between an operation key, as well as, a function which depends on the taste of a user. SOLUTION: Functions of fixed keys are made to correspond to variable keys 21-24, and the correspondence relation between the variable keys and the functions is determined, depending on which fixed key is correspond to the variable key. A memory 16 stores the correspondence relation between each operation key (among the fixed keys and the variable keys) and the function, as data. Herein, data (fixed key data) for the correspondence relation between the fixed keys and the functions is identification information for each fixed key, and detailed contents of a function name corresponding to each fixed key and the function corresponding to each fixed key. The memory 16 stores data (variable key data) that makes the identification information for the variable keys correspond to the identification information for the fixed keys, corresponding to the variable keys. A control part 15 uses a display part (display means) 11 for displaying the detailed contents of the functions that correspond to the variable keys 21-24, while adjoining the variable keys 21-24.
