Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress or prevent illegal and crimes in facilities accessible to the general public, such as a hospital. SOLUTION: A face image recognition security system has monitor cameras 14Ain, 14Bin, 14Cin, etc. on one or more locked doors for obtaining a face image of a subject P who enters facilities such as a hospital by opening one or more doors 12a, 12b, 12c, etc.; opening/closing devices 21 for unlocking or locking the doors with the monitor cameras; and a central processing apparatus 23 for recognizing predetermined components of the subject's face and extracting features of the face from the face image of the subject captured by the monitor cameras to record them in a database part 33 in association with the shooting time, and consolidating the operation of the opening/closing devices. The central processing apparatus instructs the opening/closing devices to unlock the doors at least when the predetermined components of the captured subject's face are recognized correctly and the features of the subject's face are extracted normally.
