ELECTRIC POTENTIAL MEASURING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric potential measuring device which can stably maintain the vibration of a vibrator of a capacity changing means without adding another detecting means for detecting the state of vibration of the vibrator. SOLUTION: The electric potential measuring device has the capacity changing means 102, a detecting means 105 and an impression signal generating means 106. The capacity changing means includes the vibrator 104 provided for changing the capacitance between a measuring object 101 and a detecting electrode 103 by mechanical vibrations. The detecting means detects the amount of a charge which is statically induced to the detecting electrode by the capacity changing means. The impression signal generating means generates a drive signal 203 to be impressed on a driving means for making the vibrator of the capacity changing means vibrate, based on an output of the detecting means.
