Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition furnace for a sintering machine capable of manufacturing sintered ore of stable quality without causing heating unevenness of raw sintering material in a pallet. SOLUTION: The ignition furnace 8 for the sintering machine is provided with a pair of sidewalls arranged facing each other in a lateral direction orthogonal to an advancing direction of the pallet on both sides of the pallet, a pair of partition walls 10 connecting front side ends and rear side ends of the pair of sidewalls in the advancing direction of the pallet, a ceiling wall 11 covering a top face of a space surrounded by the pair of sidewalls and the pair of partition walls 10, and a plurality of burners 12, 13 piercing the ceiling wall 11 and provided integrally with the ceiling wall 11, and emitting flame downward to heat the raw sintering material in the pallet, At least one of the pair of sidewalls, the pair of partition walls 10, and the ceiling wall 11 is a movable wall moving vertically, and at least one part of the movable wall moves vertically.
