Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low pressure loss type fluid coupling with a valve holder which has a large effective opening area without lowering strength. SOLUTION: In the fluid coupling, a valve 33, a valve holder 31 and a spring 32 arranged in the compression condition between the valve 33 and the valve holder 31 are housed in each inside of a plug 1 and a socket 2 joined liquid-tightly to each other, and the valve 33 of the plug 1 and the valve 33 of the socket 2 contact mutually and retreat against the biasing force of the spring 32 when the plug 1 is inserted in the socket 2, thus connecting a channel between the plug 1 and the socket 2. The fluid coupling is provided with conical members 32, 51 having conical outside diameters along a line connecting the outside diameter part of the valve 33 with the outside diameter part of the valve holder 31 when the spring 32 is compressed as the valve 33 of the plug 1 makes contact with the valve 33 of the socket 2 mutually, between the valve 33 and the valve holder 31.
