RARE GAS FLUORESCENT LAMP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external electrode type rare gas fluorescent lamp in which disconnection of the external electrode is prevented. SOLUTION: In the external electrode type rare gas fluorescent lamp consisting of a light-emitting tube in which the rare gas is enclosed, a phosphor installed on the inner face of the light-emitting tube, a plurality of foil external electrodes installed electrically separated from each other outward the light-emitting tube, and a lead or a cap electrically connected to the external electrode, a reinforcing body having flexibility is installed from at least one part of a connection part with the lead or the cap in the external electrode across at least one part of the part contacting the light-emitting tube in the external electrode, and an adhesive made of a resin is interposed between the reinforcing body and the external electrode.
