Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device, improving transmittance and displaying an image of a good display quality. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device, in which a liquid crystal layer is held between a pair of substrates, includes: a display area having a blue pixel PXB and a green pixel PXG which display different colors; a pixel electrode EP disposed in each color pixel; and a counter electrode ET disposed on the same substrate as the pixel electrode EP opposite to the pixel electrode EP, wherein a cell gap db in the blue pixel PXB is smaller than a cell gap dg in the green pixel.
