Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multidimensional structure of nanoparticles of a noble metal, a microstructuring technique for the multidimensional structure, and members such as an electrochemical element. SOLUTION: A microstructured noble metal nanostructure having a multidimensional structure of a nanometer size comprising primary particles is provided. The microstructured noble metal nanostructure is in the form of particles having a diameter of 1 to 15 nm, and the multidimensional structure has a fine wire shape having a wire diameter of 5 to 200 nm, a concave and convex structure or a protruded structure having a surface roughness of 5 to 200 nm, or a spherical structure having a diameter of 5 to 200 nm. These structures are in a self-supporting state without the need to use any template. There are also provided a process for producing the microstructured noble metal nanostructure, an electrochemical element, an electrode material, a catalyst material, and a member for a nitrogen oxide decomposition reactor and the like. There are further provided a microstructured noble metal structure, which has been converted to a self-supporting multidimensional structure of a nanometer size, and a member thereof.
