CLOTH FEEDER OF SEWING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately maintain a feed pitch even when the kind or thickness of a cloth to be sewn is changed. SOLUTION: The cloth feeder 100 of the sewing machine includes: a push-up member 110 provided so as to be engaged with a feed foot 30 and operated so as to push the feed foot upwards; a stepping motor 130 connected through a link member 120 to the push-up member, for imparting push-up driving force to the push-up member so that the feed foot pressurizes the cloth by a preset pressing pressure; an encoder 140 for detecting the output signals of the stepping motor; storage means for storing the deviation of the output signals outputted from the stepping motor to the push-up member which are equivalent to the preset cloth pressing pressure and detection signals detected by the encoder in the case of feeding the cloth by the feed foot; and control means for driving the stepping motor so as to push up the push-up member to be the deviation when the output signals of the stepping motor are changed.
