Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method and a cutting mechanism of a compounding apparatus which permit a safety measure to be taken for cutting edges without providing a separate protective member or the like around the cutting edges. SOLUTION: The cutting method comprises: inserting the tip of a vertical upper edge 740 into the groove of a vertical lower edge 760, when the cutting of a PTP tablet sheet or the rest is not performed; inserting the tip of a horizontal upper edge 750 into the groove of a horizontal lower edge 770; and previously moving both of the upper edges to prescribed home positions when cutting is performed.
