Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure excellent driveability while protecting a battery with inexpensive configuration against a temperature rise of the battery, with regard to a motor torque controller. SOLUTION: The motor torque controller for an electric car travelling by driving a motor 1 supplied with electric power from the battery 2 is equipped with: a temperature detection means 4 for detecting the battery 2 temperature with a prescribed resolution; and a control means 10 for controlling the output torque of the motor 1. The control means 10 is configured to have: a target torque setting part 11 for setting the target torque Trq01; a fundamental gain setting part 12a for setting the fundamental gain G1in response to the detected temperature Tdetof the battery 2; a gain correction part 12b for correcting the fundamental gain G1; based on the time variation characteristics of the battery 2 temperature; and an instruction part 13 for correcting the target torque Trq01and outputting the corrected target torque as a final instruction torque Trq02by using the correction gain G2corrected by the gain correction part 12b.
