PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a PDP with a low cost, without deterioration of characteristics, and with high reliability by realizing a dielectric layer which does not require a process such as a firing process as the dielectric layer of a front panel. SOLUTION: The PDP is provided with the front panel 1 having a front substrate 10 of a glass substrate and a rear panel 2 which are arranged in opposition and seal the surroundings so as to form a discharge space. An address electrode 22, a barrier rib 24, and a phosphor layer 25 are installed on the inner surface of a rear substrate 20, and a protection layer 16 is installed on the inner surface of the front substrate 10, and a display electrode 12 is installed on the outer surface of the front substrate 10.
