INSPECTION METHOD FOR READING DATA OF HARD DISK DRIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine in a short time whether being normal or defective of products of a hard disk drive (HDD). SOLUTION: The inspection method has: an inspection region setting process for specifying a sampling region of data recorded in the HDD; a data size setting process for setting size of data obtained from the HDD; a start sector deciding process for deciding a start sector of data obtained from the HDD; a data obtaining process for reading first data and second data of size set by the data size setting process from the start sector decided by the start sector deciding process; a data recording process for writing the first data read by the data obtaining process from the start sector: and a data comparing process for comparing the second data read from the start sector again with the first data, wherein data recorded in the sampling region set by the inspection region setting process is sampled repeatedly and compared using the size of data set by the data size setting process and the start sector decided by the start sector deciding process.
