ELECTRONIC SHELF LABEL AND ELECTRONIC SHELF LABEL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a display content optimal for a customer; to output store information optimal for the customer; to raise convenience of the customer; to arouse a purchase intention of an article; and to promote purchase of the article. SOLUTION: An electronic shelf label 1 is connected to a store server 3 via a communication network N1, a repeater 2, and a communication network N2, and displays article information such as an article price on a display part, when customer attributes are read from an IC card 4 (identification medium) held by the customer. The electronic shelf label 1 switches the display content of the article information displayed on the display part according to the read customer attributes, while the electronic shelf label 1 transmits the read customer attributes to the store server 3, receives store event information corresponding to the customer attributes transmitted from the store server 3, outputs the received store event information by voice, displays and outputs the store event information.
